Afore Capital
States it invests at pre-seed in pre-traction, pre-everything companies, and runs a Founders-in-Residence programme to help founders work out whether an idea is ready for venture capital at all, before any investment.
Criteria: Publishes both of the figures that matter most to a founder: a $500 million fund, and cheques of $500,000 to $2 million and above. Does not name sectors.
What this means for your pitchOne of very few firms here that publishes its cheque size, which lets you work out the implied round and your dilution before the first call rather than after it. If you are earlier than a company, ask about Founders-in-Residence rather than pitching the fund.
