Criteria: Smart people solving difficult problems, often difficult scientific or engineering problems, across aerospace and transportation, biotechnology, advanced machines and software including artificial intelligence, energy and the internet. Argues for transformational rather than merely alternative approaches. States that a characteristic of promising companies is that they are not popular, on the reasoning that popular investments are priced expensively.
