NEA announced it co-led CuspAI's $450 million Series B alongside Kleiner Perkins, after leading the company's Series A in September 2025. CuspAI builds generative AI models for materials discovery, and the firm states its AI Materials Foundry network includes more than 45 organizations.
NEA introduced its Spring 2026 class of NEA Fellows, 15 undergraduate students from 10 universities, which the firm states is its largest cohort yet. The fellowship, launched in 2018, places students alongside NEA's investment team for work including due diligence and founder meetings.
NEA promoted Arjun Jain to Partner and Mason Murray to Principal on its technology team, and appointed Ashley Jepson as Senior Analyst. Jain joined NEA in 2021 and focuses on consumer and enterprise investments; Murray joined in 2022 and focuses on early-stage enterprise and consumer investments.
