Point Nine
A thesis-driven early-stage firm whose stated thesis is AI for the digital, physical and biological world, with SaaS and business-to-business software as its heritage. States it is a small equal partnership of four partners, each working closely with six to eight companies.
Criteria: Publishes its cheque range plainly: $1 million to $10 million per company, across pre-seed, seed and Series A. States it works alongside exceptional founders to accelerate their learning and provide unfair shortcuts. Based in Europe, investing globally.
What this means for your pitchOne of very few firms in this directory that both publishes its cheque range and operates from Europe, which makes it a natural first read for a European B2B founder. Four partners at six to eight companies each is a deliberately small book: expect genuine partner attention if you get in, and be honest with yourself about the odds implied by that arithmetic.

Point Nine led the seed round of Aardaia, founded by Padraic Flood and Mike Henske, which is working to turn aardaker, a wild European tuber, into a new protein crop without genetic modification. Partner Christoph Janz writes that the firm led the round after meeting the founders in late 2025.
Point Nine announced it participated in Anthropic's Series G, which the firm states was priced at a $380 billion valuation. The firm says the opportunity arose when its portfolio company Vercept was acquired by Anthropic in early 2026, allowing it to roll over and add to its position, and describes the deal as an exception to its early stage focus.
In a thesis post, partner Christoph Janz describes how the firm's investing has expanded beyond B2B SaaS to companies combining software and AI with physical and biological domains, naming portfolio companies including Sensmore, Serova, EraDrive, Hula Earth, Sereact, and Rerun. The firm states its remaining pure software investments are mostly foundation models or agentic systems requiring deep domain knowledge.
