Scale announced that portfolio company DroneDeploy agreed to be acquired by Procore for $845 million. Scale first invested in DroneDeploy, a reality capture platform for jobsites using drones, robotics, and fixed cameras, in 2016.
Scale announced its participation in the Series B of Generalist, a company building AI models for dexterous robotic manipulation trained on motion-capture data from human demonstrations. The firm states Generalist's founders co-authored PaLM-E at Google Brain and DeepMind and that the company is deployed with early partners in storage automation, lab automation, and contract manufacturing.
Scale released a go-to-market benchmarking tool built with Benchmarkit, based on a survey of active startups. The tool lets founders compare metrics such as win rate, pipeline sources, and sales ramp timelines, filtered by pricing model and growth rate.
